Im playing a Blackguard and sometimes when i get hit (often by less tough enemies) it says "damage resistance absorbes 5 damage". Good! But the question i have is, why? I dont have any items with damage reduction, so why do i get it anyway? is it because of consitiution? Its 16 or 17.

Hmm the blackguard doens't get it as a feat IIRC so it must be on one of your items. Check all your items. Also do you have any spells active like stoneskin etc ?

nope, the weird thing is that it appeared when i was wearing just a simple armour...no magic items at all. can it be something with the mod?

Is this when you get hit or when you hit others? What does the feedback line read?

Also, what module are you playing?
It's not because of constitution.

You sure you don't have any elemental resistance items ?

It sounds like one of the swordsman type belts to me, especially against lesser enemies. The dmg resistance will read as reduction, and may be fully absorbed, if it's not substantial enough to overcome the belts resistance.

Does any race have these bonuses? (haha...was thinking plural of bonus was boni)

ah, it could be a belt, robert, not sure thoug, as it didnt absobt from every attack

If your not using the Greater version of a belt, it won't. It will be dependant on the amount of dmg dealt.
