I am having problems with my BG1.

My computer came with BG1 on DVD and I had played and completed it, however I didn't have TOTSC. Recently I found a pack with BG1 and TOTSC, so I bought it. I had already uninstalled the BG1 DVD so didn't install it but installed the new game which was 4 normal discs. I noticed when I installed it that it only installed up until about 80% and then the install finished. So, I started a game and it seemed to be working fine until I tried to leave the friendly arm inn and I always get an error and it crashes. I'm guessing the problem has something to do how it was installed as a DVD and now is 4 normal discs. Oh, and I tried uninstalling the game and installing the DVD version but the problem persists!

Can anyone help? I really want to play BG1 :(

Have you tried to clean the registry?

No, I'm not 100% sure how to do that :(

It's very slow in this forum I'll start a topic else were to find out how to clean the registry. Better be careful in there, I don't want to do anything until I'm 100% sure what I'm doing.

I have trouble installing BGII/TOB and Torment. Something about library dll/:blah blah blah. I think I going to by a new computer.
