I'm at the bridge where you first enter Baldur's Gate, I click to go into the city, and up pops an error screen stating "No CD in drive, put CD 255 in drive". Then, in about 2 seconds of that being on screeen, it pops back to the desktop with BG still running, but only having the option to close it. I tried placing the BG CD in the drive, I tried running from BGMain, but still same result. Has anyone else hit this problem? Any solutions?

don't know about that specifically but you should *never* need the BG disks to run tutu apart from doing the full install
did you do a full BG1 install? (sorry if that's too obvious:)) |
Yep, all 2.5 gig of it. And, it's in the correct folder in the C drive. I've had no problems up to this point, just as I try to enter the city for the first time in Chapter 5.
Oh, and an extra fact that may help: it does the autosave, then starts to load the area, then hits the error. Maybe something is corrupted? [ 04-03-2004, 04:30 PM: Message edited by: Nerull ] |
If it does that while loading, does it make a noise when the error occurs? That's what happens when a file is corrupted. For me, anyway.
Do you have the patches (if there are any, I don't know much about tutu) |
You might try the BGtutu sites Bug forum, located here. I'd scan the forums myself, but I turn my clock ahead 1 hour tonight, and thats one hour less sleep. And it's also the hour I would have dont the searching in. I might take a look tomorrow though.

Ok, checked the site, and nothing. So, I did something drastice. I uninstalled and reinstalled BG1 and TotSC, and now it works (I guess the install was corrupted for some reason). Thanks for your help!
