Yes, I do have TotSC installed. I just don't know where to find this area on the map. I've read about some great stuff there, and I want to go shopping.

TIA

PS: I'm having trouble finding the Lighthouse too.

The area is at the top to the right of Baldur's Gate on the other side of the river...

The lighthous is soth of Candlekeep but you have to reach there from the east...

On a side notice Ulgoth's Beard does have some very nice items (and sends you on some very nice quests) but I wouldnt suggest going there immediately with a low level party.

to find ulgoths just keep moving up the map and it will appear (as in go where ZFR said)

To access the lighthouse, go to high hedge, go west, and then go west again. If that doesn't work, from high hedge, go south, then go west. That should do it.

I currently have a party with:

PC Ranger: Level 6, 81 HP. Will dual to cleric later.
Minsc: Level 6 Ranger, 63 HP
Imoen: Level 7 thief, something like 40 HP
Dynaheir: Level 6 Invoker, 34 HP
Jaheira: Level 5 fighter/6 druid, 53 HP
Khalid: Level 6 fighter, 75 HP

This is actually the first party I ever took through BG1, so I'm experienced with these players already. I'm only using them all again in the same group to experience them in ToTSC. I've just completed the Cloakwood Mines and I'm heading to finish all the areas on the eastern side of the map (Gullykin/Firewine Ruins, Ulcaster, Basilisk area, etc). After that, I'll head over to give Drizzt a visit, then go off to BG. When is a good time for this party to go to Ulgoth's Beard?

edit: HP corrected

One way to find a particular area (or to make sure you've found all of them) is to walk along each edge of the map as you explore it. On each side, move your party as though you want to leave the map from that side but when you are taken to the "world view" page, return to the current map. It will show you which area is to that side of your current map. If you do this on each side of a every new map, you'll see all the possible areas to explore. It's tedious, yes, but you won't miss anything important (like the lighthouse).

That's basically the only way to get areas on your map (besides 'your world map has been updated' messages) ;) .

My point exactly, I should have made it more clear. If a person hasn't found a particular map yet, then he/she needs to be more meticulous about actively seeking out the other areas to each side of the wilderness maps.
