Ok, now I'm a bit mad...
My character ranger6/cleric5. Wisdom 16... According to manual level 5 cleric should have Level 0 spells: 5 Level 1 spells: 3 Level 2 spells: 2 Level 3 spells: 1 Wisdom 16 gives 1 level 1 spell, 1 level 2 and 1 level 3... So in total I should have 0: 5 1: 4 2: 3 3: 2 But I'm having 5,5,4,3... that's one extra spell per level except level 0. Why is that? where did the extra spells come from... its not because of an item because I stripped my cleric and it was still there... can anyone whos playing a cleric check what he has? Also my ranger has 2 spells instead of 1 so I assume the wisdom bonus gets added to paladins and rangers too (unlike in BG2)? Can anyone verify that? |
I haven't played a cleric in NWN (yet! ) but from what I have read in the manuals, clerics get "domain" spells as well as the regular ones.
What are your character’s domains? |
Yep that one is a domain spell. And since there are no level 0 domain spells you don't get an extra spell there.

I chose domains Healing and Strength....
So I get Cure Serious at level 2 and Divine Power at level 3 (and Heal and Stoneskin @ 5).... But still where did the extra level 1 spell come from? Also I thought domain spells only get added to the spell pool and do not affect number of spells cast per day... can anyone explain? |
You also get a level 1 domain spell. The domain spell is an extra spell per day. Like in p&p handbooks spells per day are showed like this:
2+1 2+1 1+1 The +x are the domanin spells. |
