Where can I find him whithin Baldur's Gate?

Neb is easy to find at one point in the game. In fact, you are forced to find him, I think. During the part of the plot where Sarevok *gasp* is gaining power, and Scar is killed, you will be arrested after returning from Candlekeep and being framed for the murder of the Iron Throne leaders. Once in prison, you must answer a riddle of Neb's to get out through his secret exit. I do hope that this character I am thinking of is Neb...hope this helps!

L* actually, I didn't get to meet Neb in my current BGT run...I'm just too familiar with the whereabouts of those Flemingfist guards and know how to avoid being captured~~

No point in avoiding it since you need to return to the compound afterwards to get Duke Eltan. If you whiz through the dialogues, it's nearly as fast as just going directly to him. Besides, he pops up again BG2 with the unfinished mod, something which I found really nice.

it's not about whether there's a *point* avoiding the guards...this time around I just happened walk through the area that I won't be captured. Going into Flemingfist compound is a different matter from being captured and being put in there. We do not go into the compound to get Duke because we're captured.

I never thought that a simple question could evolve to this sort of... discussion. Anyway, I thank all of you for the help.
