When HotU was announced, one of the things that I thought looked cool was the addition of skies. It only just dawned on me recently that I have never seen them in the game. I figured they wouldn't show up in the original campaigns, but they don't even show in HotU. I mad a quick little module in a forest and checked it out and sure enough there was no sky. Do you have to "turn it on" when making a module? Just curious.
I am not able to really make modules yet as I don't know how to program them, but I plan to learn, so my other question is how does one make use of the CEP? Do you have to import the things you want into your module? I looked at their beginner module (just a single small area) and tried fooling around a bit, but it said I couldn't change anything since the original in the CEP would override any changes I made. Again, just curious. |
Yes you have to enable the skies in the area properties. IIRC there was a bug not showing skies in 1.59 and I'm not sure which patch fixes it.
To use the CEP in your (new) modules: http://www.nwncep.com/howtousecep/starting_fi.htm this is the official guide |
Thanks!

I think you have to check the "Enable skyboxes" square in the options window.
[EDIT] Whohoo! Now i´m a dungeon master! The floor begins to spin, and you are all sucked down into oblivion! AND I SHALL RULE! Oh, oops...[EDIT] [ 04-11-2004, 07:36 AM: Message edited by: Mystique ] |
Yup ya do. Plus the module has to have a sky itself bearing in mind there are only two available.
