Does anyone experience massive preformance issues near the end of Chapter 2 (Drow attack on the city)? Even though I'm playing on a P4 2.4 with 512Mb and a Geforce FX (Nothing state of the art in this pc, but it's still way beyond the minimum specs) preformance often drops to an absolute minimum (even on the lowest resolutions!). Not only here, but at various points during the game (such as the 'Tavern invasion' at the beginning of the game) Very irritating :(

Latest drivers and patches? Try to put everything in your options panel to absolute lowest and see if it works, if that doesn't work I wouldnt know what the problem is as my under requirements system doesn't have more problems with it than the rest of the game so it shouldn't be more taxing on your system (always around 10 fps, good enough for me, don't want to spend much on a new video card now)

Strangely enough, I do have the latest drivers. And as far as I know, everything is on the absolute minimum.

You running Win xp? Make sure your sound settings are set to 'Miles Fast'. This will greatly improve performance on most systems.
With my geforce 2, the start of the game especially the tavern cutscene was horrible. For me it was basically unplayable on an mx card but on my ti it was fine. My fx 5200 works good with it too. Hey if you ever do sort it let me know as I'd like to pin the problem down.

i doing it on win2000 with 2.0 amd or 1.8 p4 equivalent with gforce fx5200 (the lowest) with 256 ram. im doing just fine.

with antivirus and the rest running like a charm
