You make a pattern with the runestones...

and here the first time I went through I thought I was supposed to hang onto those runestones. I was however quickly disabused of that notion when my character with 8 str. couldn't move (...and then the "lightbulb" went on).

LOL, they are HEAVY, aren't they? I just put them in my magic bags and then made the pattern.

they weigh 50 each I think. LOL! Well I cant understand anythin to do with a pattern? Where do I make the pattern? I tried placin the runestones on the squares in the middle but I can't put them down there!

The stones go on the square in the middle. The pattern you are supposed to make is indicated, just look around.

Well thats where I thought they'd go! But my Char wont actually drop them on the squares, only on the normal ground around them.

Ok, Beau, walk your char onto the square you wish to drop the runestone on and then go to your inventory and tell him to drop the item, it should work! Then move to the next square and do same til you've dropped all the stones in the pattern and you walk onto the last square, thus finishing the pattern. PS, look around the room, there's a hint on nearly every side of the room , as to the pattern. :D

Hmm...are you carrying them in your inventory? If so, go stand on a square and then click your inventory open, click the runestone and you should have the option to drop it! Is it that your char can't move becuase of too much weight?
