Hey all! Some spoilers follow.....


I'm replaying the game and since I had a ranger/arcane archer first time I didn't do the tokens in the little font near the lever that opens the doors to the elementals in front of the door to J'nah's room. I've done the water elemental and had no clue what to do with the waters there, it said something about being hard to get around? Now I'm at the fire elemental part of the maze and there's a brazier- fires of knowledge which just says 'the smallest spell is enough'. So far I've had it disappear saying 'that was obviously the wrong spell, when I used flare" and "you've destroyed it with the power of that spell' or some such when I used heal minor wounds.... someone help me with his puzzle? I know you can get 'tokens' or something to use in the pool and get some item or other, but that's all I know.

As far as I know, just killing the beasties in each hall is enough. There are some instructions that come up when you select the basin, and just push the button for all of the symbols, iirc. You'll get a summoning item, that will help in the final battle there.

Killing all four of the elemental types will gain you ONE token. If you cast the appropriate cantrip (flare etc.) on each of the pools, you will gain a second token. I can't remember which cantrip works on which "pool".

That's my problem! I tried flare on the fire and it vanished, saying it was the wrong spell! I didn't try any on the waters though, so I may go back and try that if I still can.

Try using the opposite elemental effect on the pools, ice on fire etc. I'll see if I can dig up my notes on which is which. I do remember that if you cast something too strong you destroy the pool as you have discovered. [img]smile.gif[/img]
