I am currently a fourth level wizard and busy at the prison.
So far the roll for hit points has been great at 19 points and my hell hound is awesome! I will switch to assasin later on down the line to try the new class in the original game. Picking up alot of things and quests I havent seen before as a Wizard. Why am I getting 5 points per level the first 3 levels of Wizard class? I don't have a high constitution or I haven't chosen Great Fortitude either. Strange but good- Battle on! |
Do you get 5 HP per level up as a Wizard?
But that's normal, Wizards get d4 (1-4) HP plus 1 bonus from either having a Constitution of 12 or the Toughness feat. With this you should get a minimum of 2 HP per level up. The HP you gain are chosen randomly from the range of HP for your specific class plus Toughness and/or CON bonus if you have them. Perhaps you just got lucky and gained the max possible HP for your class three times in a row. *Hint* If your're not happy with the amount of HP you gained, just press Cancel on the Level up summarize to do it over again. BTW Great Fortitude gives you +2 to Fort. saves and has nothing to do with HP. [ 08-03-2003, 01:42 PM: Message edited by: Stratos ] |
From personal experience, it seem you always get the max hp on the first 3 levels.

Having finished SoU and gone through Terror in Ten Towns (great mod, BTW; lots of great items and challenging enemies), I did "To Heir is Human" and now have started my Cleric, Level 18, into NWN, just to get her to 20 for HotU. Oh, I agree with Luvian: Viconia got 10 points per level to start.
