Quick question: Are multiple regeneration and damage soaking effects cummulative?

A) e.g. If I wear 2 rings of regeneration +1, should I regenerate 2HP/round?

B) e.g. If I equip my monk with both the Robes of the Old Order and the Protector small shield (both grant +1 soak 5 damage), should I then be able to soak the first 10 points of damage from each hit?

I want to know if it's a good idea for my monk to take the shield proficiency feat to use the Protector shield. Thanks.

I don't think so, and I don't think so. I'm 60 percent sure the highest bonus applies.

1. - yes, you will regenerate 2 HP per round

2. - no the damage reduction doesn't stack
