How do you complete Griwgnaw's quest? I can't find a trace of the woman he is talking about anywhere! Thanks

SPOILER!
* * * * * * * * Check out one of the houses in the area just before the Blacklake district. *Hint* It isn't a person you're looking for, it's an item. [ 02-03-2004, 01:15 AM: Message edited by: Stratos ] |
How do you get his quest to start? I have him in my party at present (in chapter 1) and might as well do his quest.
|
Talk to him and ask him about himself, and he will start to tell you about his past.

Hmmm.. hasn't worked yet, but perhaps I need to get farther into Chapter 1.
Different question (don't mean to hijack this script): I have had to drop Grimgnaw for Tomi a few times to get into some heavily trapped chests. But the last few times, when I went to re-add Grimgnaw he said "no, I now serve a new master" and I couldn't rehire him as my henchman. (I had to reload the game and leave some chests behind). any ideas? |
I never had this problem with Grimgnaw or any other henchman about serving a new master. However, I never chose the option of "I think we need to part ways." All I would do is go up to another henchman and have them join. The previous henchman would be there any time I needed them. A shame about Grimgnaw, that guy is a one man tornado that can deliver damage and death before the enemy has a chance to swing.
Also, in my experience - and again this is my experience - every time I leveled up the henchman would reveal more of their story. Hope this helps. |
I had planned on using the Barbarian, but Grimgnaw has just been so solid in the trenches. He gets off so many hits before the opponent can swing (as you said) that I often am left standing there wondering who to aim my bow at.
I'll have to try "just adding" another henchman. thanks for the tip. |
You are welcome and I had to laugh about your comment "I am often left standing there wondering who to aim my bow at" because I, too, found myself with the same predicament time and again. Ever get a spell off at a dead body? I did it more times than I care to remember. That is what Grimgnaw can do.

What can I say, the Monk is a solid class. Hits fast and hard, with sufficient strength, and is resilient against everything.
|
Gringnaw keeps dying in my games. i was better off with Linu.
