Is he supposed to be found guilty? I have a witness (Lodar) who admits that Griff spiked Rolgan's drink, but I cannot win the trial.

First, talk to everybody. Witnesses and Jurors both. Secondly. during the trial itself do not bring up the issue of racism. Apparently you can get a unanimous verdict, but I've never gotten better than 4 torches.

It is possible to get all 5 torches, but I've only done it once. You need to ask things in just the right way to get it. andrewas is correct in that, as far as you are concerned, racism does not exist. Ignore any and all racist things that are said. In fact, both Rolgan and his wife you should barely question (and ignore the little "incident" between the prosecutor and Rolgan's wife). Stick with just the facts, and only ask about the facts (only ask about spiking drinks, gambling, etc.). Avoid digressing from the facts at all costs. The big thing is to put out there is the spiking of the drink, and just ask for general motivations (beyond racism). Very difficult quest to do right, requiring a lot of thought; that's why it is my favorite quest in the game.

Just save before the trial and work yourself through the options. I got four out of five the first time around and all five the second time around. As Nerull said, stick to the facts and avoid the racist issue as you can't really prove it.

Also talk to all people involved, and once you've done that, talk to them one more time just to be on the safe side.

A easy and evil way is to buy (cant remembers his names) vote in the drinking house 100-300 gold.. cant remember..and then fix 2 up and it is done.(You get 3 points towards evil if you do it...or was it 4?)But still it is a fast way to do the trial.
