Hello all - hallelujah the intellect devourer is dead. Anyway, OK I have gone into the first tomb and gotten all the ceremonial stuff and the journal.
#1 - should Oleff be giving me XP or something for the first one? Or only after all 4? Or do I have to give him something from the first one to make him give me points?

#2 - stupid question but how do I cast Cure spells on henchmen? When I cast them, it automatically goes on myself. I can lay hands on anyone but can't figure out how to cure others.

Thanks a lot

If I remember correctly (and it has been a while since I did Ch 1 of the OC) you can give him the journal and he will give you XP and maybe gold too.

GRRRRR! Tried to give him the journal and it said "Oleff cannot be bartered with". At least I tried to drag the book on top of Oleff. Is there another way to give things?

He doesn't care about the book, you need the book to get the other artifacts. And you'll give him the other artifacts through conversations.

And you *should* be able to just click on your henchmen. Try clicking on them, and/or on their portraits.

What Illumina said. Right click on your henchman and the radial arm will pop up. Click on the spell icon, etc. Choose the heal spell. It will be cast on your henchman rather than yourself.

This is why I advise you to put healing spells in quick slots. Then you can just click on the target, rather than going through the radial menu. I forgot about the radial menu... Anyway, you just click on the target. This helps when you have a henchman, a familiar, or perhaps a creature summoned and in the thick of a battle. Nobody wants to deal with a radial menu then.

How right you are!

Thanks everyone! And in case I'm stupid (or rather, since I am *grin*) how do I make the spell (or Turn Undead for that matter) into my quickbar?

Right click on a quick slot and you will get the radial menu. Select the spell/feat to assign and it will be assigned to that slot.
