I want jaheira to wear either a spear or a qstaff, but so far i have only found a +1 staff and normal spears....are there any magical spears and better qstaves out there and if so, where?

I dont have the expansion (sadly)

magical spears +1 will be found later in the game... cant remember where exactly though.. I dont think there are any better magical spears or staffs other then perhaps +2 versions of the weapons

There are only normal and +1 staves in the game. There are also normal and +1 spears in the game.
There are a +2 Halberd though. And there is a certain +3 (cursed) spear.

I seem to recall that straight BG1 has at least 1 Spear+2, but for the life of me I can't think where it is. But, if it's Staves you want, install ToSC. There's at least one quite good Staff in there.

well im trying to get ToSC but its impossible!
I really dont want to do it the illegal way because i want to support teh creators of this great game!

And if you happen to put your hands on a copy of TotSC (if money doesn't matter, you can have your local game shop order it for you. Or look at one of the second hand sales sites) then DO install DSotSC (its free). It contains some very nice staves [img]smile.gif[/img]

AFAIK, there's only a Spear +1 in BG1 with out TotSC. I think there's just 2 of them in the game.
It's likely that you can find +2 or +3 in ToTSC, I wouldn't know about that, though.

STAFF+2! I when I said Spear+2, I really meant Staff+2. Brain fart. I know perfectly well BG1 contains no Spears beyond the +1 level, although it does have a Halberd+2 (which works out nicely, since both weapons use the same proficiency in BG1).
