I just began playing again after a long pause....and that was from BG2ToB so I´ve never really played NWN and now I have to make a character.
Geeeeez! My questions are as follows: In what abillities should I put points to my monk ( I´d choose STR DEX and WIS and disregard any other ) For a fighter STR and DEX but what else??? Do I gain more points to base abillities later on in the game? ( ....spoil me on this, does any abillities have a ring og amulet or gloves wich I can use to completely disregard one abillity I.E. Gloves of Ogre strength from BG2 or perhaps a belt of Charisma ) Spawkieboy |
Don't forget Constitution for the monk. You only have 8 hps per level plus con bonus. The Toughness feat is a good choice for the monk.
A lot of people have suggested a High strength for the Monk along with a High Dex and the weapon finesse feat. The choice of how to distribute stat points for a monk has been widely debated in this and the SoU forum. I would check out some of those threads. For a fighter, be aware that a high dex will be wasted with Heavy or Medium armors, as those armor types cap out the maximum AC bonus you get from dex. If you are looking for a heavy tank, then consider capping your dex at 12 (or 13 if you want a particular feat) and moving the points into constitution. Yes, you do get additional stat points - one point every four levels starting at 4th level. And yes, there are TONS of items that will add substantially to your stats.
