This video was released while NWN's was in production and in it you can actually see alot of stuff that never made it into the final version of the game. If you watch it closely you will even see the fighting animations/mechanics were totally different here and there are a multiple of cool spell effects that were, for some reason dumbed down :( .
I guess it shows how rushed NWN's was that we got sold out on these even despite the fact that it was technically (and commercially) 'late' when it hit the shelves. Alot of this stuff I liked much...heres a few screens:

The original Magic Missle spell. Much like the older Infinity Engine games such as BG2, colourful, red and better IMHO than white comets (c'mon they could have at least coloured them!)

An early and again more BG-style fire elemental meh, I like the current one better, this one looks like a paper doll .

This is defo. my favourite. The strength-type spell animation. A supernatural figure above the head of the caster flexing It's muscles to show the strength being amplified. This is an improvement on the IWD strength animation which had one arm showing and IMHO would have been much better in NWN's than the drab effect we were given (a tri magic thread on the casters head).
Just thought I'd let everyone know what we don't have . Hey, It's nice to dream..I really wish they'd reconsider putting some of these things back in.
