I am going to play the game again with a cap remover because I reached the cap before I finished Durlag's Tower. When using a cap remover THAT WORKS,, will the game still "level" you up? Also, can someone recommend a cap remover,,, that works. TIA

yeh the game will still level u up.

Try the ones in the IW homepage bg1 section.

Durlag's tower??? I've just entered Cloakwood for the first time and I've reached the damn cap ( I think ) Time for that remover thingy! Why did they insert that cap thing in the first place? Doesn't make too much sense to me in a single player game...

Darn it : Can't get the file... my pc's download functions ave been pretty screwed up as of late. Could anyone please mail me the file or something like that? I know it is a lot to ask but I'd sure appreciate it...friends?

I DL'd the XP cap remover from IW Gaming area, the one that sez it will work with TotSC. When I unzipped it, there was no readme. There IS an executable "application" file called "GruntWare". I assumed this was an installer, but when you d-click the file a window comes giving credits(sorta). And no installer runs. How do I know is the XP cap remover is installed? Will someone who has used this give me a walkthru?

I had the same problem with Gruntware; forget about that one. Try the one from the TeamBG Site: XP Cap Remover. Download whichever one you like best: Level 20, 30, 40, or 50, and if you want basic D&D rules, then the level 36 one.

Level 50 mod allows you to reach level 50 (and in all guilds too, so if you're multi-classed, you can get to level 50 in both guilds, but good luck on that one ), and then the same goes for the other mods.

Thirty six seems plenty to me, plus it just has that classic flavor to it...ah the memories <looks about, nostalgic>; Besides, you have to play through the game REPEATEDLY to get those kind of levels, and while fifteen is achievable, I'm not sure if 36 is... that would take me longer to achieve than the entire lifespan of my poor Windows ME-tortured computer...
