Hi,

1. How do I make the Ring of Regeneration? I've tried putting 2 fen berries and a raksahsa eye on an alchemists lab, and cast Melf's Magic Arrow (or whatever it is), yet I can never get the Ring of Regeneration. What am I doing wrong?

2. Hak packs- how do I get them to work? I have a hak pack, and I've placed it into the hak folder- but nothing happens in the game? What do I do?

Well I forget #1, but as far as hak paks go, they work with specific modules.
Hak paks will have no effect on the OC unless the hak pak is designed to alter the OC in a specific way like the henchman AI &inventory hak. If this is the case you need to open the OC module(s) in the toolset, goto module properties and select the hakpak on the custom content tab and then save the module under a new name. When you play you will load the "new" module from the other modules' tab after selecting 'new game'.

If you are trying to play a fan-made module that requires a specific hak and you have unzipped the hak in the hak folder I dunno why it doesnt work.

It should be 1 fenberry + 1 rakshasa's eye, cast Melf's Acid Arrow = Ring of Regeneration. I am not sure but you might need "The Tome of the Ring" first.

Oh, so only 1 fenberry- I'll have to try that later (I gotta do homework). I already have the Tome of the Ring. Does it matter where I cast all this? Can I put this on a forge and cast the spell- on a Alchemy Lab and cast the spell?

Inside Many-Starred Cloak Enclave there should be a chest (I think. It could be a forge but it should be something you can place items in.) it is around the corner to the right. Not sure I have to go back and look. But you will need to put the fenberry and rakshasa's eye in there and cast Melf's Acid Arrow on it.

I couldn't use the laboratory in the Many-Starred Cloak becuase the women said I didn't specialize in the arcane arts- even though I can cast Melf's Acid Arror with a ring, and I have all the ingredients. I tried using an Alchemists Alchemny table, an alter, and a forge/anvil to try to make the ring, but none of those worked. I really want the ring, LOL, and I have the ingredients- is there something I'm doing wrong??

Sorry but you have to be able to use the lab to make the ring. :( I played through as a Wizard/Rouge combo so it was not an issue to me. I heard you could pay 2000 gold to use the lab but that might only be to bards or something like that.

I guess I'll summon the item, or go into MP and get the item and reload it into SP- sure I'll have to redo the chapter I'm currently on, but I'll do it once I get into the 4th chapter (which means all I have to do is talk to Aerin).

LOL, its not cheating, I had all the possible items and spells. As a fighter, you can't pay 2000 gold- I wish I could though :D
