On my title thingy on the left of this post it says I am an elite waterdeep guard. I am probbaly just nit picking here, but shouldn't it say, for better english, I am an elite *Waterdavian* guard. I know I am just being silly, but am I the only one who is sad enough to have thought about it!?
|
No becuase Waterdeep is one of the towns in Faerun. So it is quite correct.

This belongs in the General Discussion forum, but Xen is righit anyway. Waterdeep is a large area to the north of Baldur's Gate IIRC.
|
Well duh! Of course waterdeep is a place, but you would call a citezen of waterdeep a waterdavian, so does that not mean I am a guard from waterdeep or a waterdavian guard!
|
You are a Waterdeep Guard. But anyhow does it matter at all?
|
No. If you were an "elite waterdavian guard" it would mean that you CAME from waterdeep but could be guarding anywhere. Elite Waterdeep guard refers to the place you are guarding, not where the guard is from

well continue posting and you dont have to worry :-D

First off, I thought the spelling had a silent H in there: "Waterdhavian."
Second, I echo drew_jarvie: A "Waterdeep" guard would be somebody guarding Waterdeep. A "Waterdhavian" guard would be a guard from Waterdeep, or alternatively somebody guarding 1 or more Waterdhavians. |
According to the OC of the original NWN it is indeed Waterdhavian.
