anyone know how to make it so they dont attack you or non-violent npcs when you or them accidently hit them with an area effect spell?
or how to make them help you bash various locked or unlocked objects? or how to make them follow pathfind better so they dont get stuck behind trees and the like? or how to make them not have an indecision on what the nearest enemy to kill is? or how to make them not stand around doing nothing in battle (yes tried the various commands such as guard me or attack nearest) |
It may just depend on how many times you hit your Henchmen with painful/nasty area effect spells. I know mine don't like being beaten. (Have you tried being Nice to them instead?) Incase you wondered, oh how the rumors fly at The Blades about employers when you're off eating dinner. Once you get a bad rep, that's it. Sure, they'll work for you, but they'll always hold a grudge (and secretly hope the other guy wins). Think of them as workers from an unfriendly union. Lets face it: short of a total reinstall, you're screwed...
********************* Ok, enough sarcasm. Sure you have +5 to Wisdom, but do you have +5 to Patience? You might have more attacks per round than they do and if you keep giving them orders, even the same ones, they start from scratch again. The Follow command works well in woods, and if they drop too far behind, they seem to 'pop' up next to you. Keep in mind you can always use that teleport stone and then pop back through the portal. Sure its a little more gold, but Henchmen Really Like those Neat Spinning Lights...! |
