The necklaces that my character wears keep disappearing. The first was to boost my saving throws, and it disappeared. The second I needed to wear to get to see the pirate, and now it has disappeared, too. I had both equipped when they disappeared. Has anyone else had this happen? I'm stuck now that I don't have the second necklace.

This is on a different topic: Everyone in the game refers to my paladin as a "cleric" and a "holy woman". They didn't during training, but they do now. Is that a bug, or do they do it because I'm playing a lawful good character?

Thanks for any help you can give.

There are two necklaces in the Docks district that are plot items and will disappear once used.

- The pirate lady's necklace leaves when you open the 1st floor door in the infested boat house. There is a bloated spider in the room that leads to the sewers.

- After you kill Calik (SP?), the upstart Bloodsailor that wants to rule, you will find the Masterson Family necklace on the remains of his body. Once you speak with the Masterson's, you give it to them, especially if you are lawfull good...

Thanks for all of your help. Sorry I'm late replying, but my DSL was down for a week, and then I forgot I had posted! Anyway, 9_1_6 is right, I didn't need that particular necklace to see the pirate. At least, once I got there it disappeared and didn't effect anything. I followed the advice I got here and got the patch, and sure enough, it solved my problem. Thanks a lot!

As far as people calling your character a "holy woman," I think it's because you receive divine powers and not because of alignment.

Though it's strange they've referred to her as a "cleric" ...

Mayhaps you should smite them or something.
