It seems that in Bioware's haste to get the v1.2.5 patch out, they inflicted a few new SERIOUS bugs into the game.
1. ALL spells and spell effects that provide a boost in AC (barkskin, mage armor, etc.) provide ZERO bonus. Under some circumstances, they actually make your AC worse by a point or two (lowering it from say a 17 to a 16). 2. Taking a class in anything other than your current class (say leveling up a rogue 4 and taking 1 level of wizard at level 5 to become rogue 4 / wizard 1) causes ALL of your previous class hit points to PERMANENTLY go away. The 1,2,6 beta patch is supposed to fix item 1 and a few other things. It does NOT fix item 2. There is a critical rebuild available to revert to version 1.2.4 [ 10-12-2002, 09:30 AM: Message edited by: Micah Foehammer ] |
Half-way down this link, we were discussing this. I beleive I will be waiting until Tuesday when the 1.26 patch is released, and see how it fares.

Hmm, I downloaded the patch yesterday, but didn't have any problem. But then, I am playing a Paladin, and don't use protective spells except Bull's Strength, Bless, and Prayer. Sharwyn doesn't seem to be having any problems, but perhaps it is only mages.

I believe it is only spells that are affected, and possibly only the spells that grant AC modification like barkskin, mage armor, etc. I didn't have any trouble with my dwarven fighter either using potions like endurance or bull's strength either.

Larry,
Thanks for the link. I missed that somehow. |
