I know very little about the actual specs but id guess that yes its very necesscary.

Yes, very necessary! It will take forever just get through a battle or even walk across the road without alot of resourses. Real choppy. Just having alot of ram will not help, you need graphic ram solely.

Get the best 3d card you can afford. Even with low graphics the game is intense. Check out the Geoforce cards.

what would be the cheapest but "in good action" 3d acc? just wondering because gforce is so expensive, any alternative?

I would say get a Geforce 3 minimum, they have come way down in price...I paid 425 when it first came out :(

Check out the ATI Radeons. They are usually a little cheaper, but near par with the GeForce cards.
