he has a wisdom of 15 and a charisma of 13 and he cant cast cantrips? does he have to be level 2 to cast these? argh confused...oh yeh my bard/fighter sucked so i left him in a ditch.

According to the manual Paladins (and Rangers) does not get cantrips.

ahh that would be why....oh well i thort it was uz my charisma was too low... ok ok binky told me that i mite have needed a kinda higher charisma....

your paladin does get spells, but you have to be level 6 to use 1st level spells.

Paladins & Rangers get spells from level 1 to 4.
To be able to cast spells their wisdom MUST be
greater or equal to 10+spell level.
You will gain your 1st spell at level 3 or 4
(can't remember exactly).
There is no prerequisite on charisma (unless you
multiclass to bard or sorceror).
