i have a cleric/ranger with 18 con...is it normal for her to only gain 3 HP´s every level? i think its too little...is this a bug or just reality?
|
I think it's the diceroll result PLUS three points for 18 constitution. But that would be correct, indeed.
|
but that would make her get a roll of 0 every time...weird

Clerics get 1d8 HP each level until level 10 or so. In addition they get a bonus for high (or penalty for low) CON:
CON 15 => +1 to HP CON 16+ => +2 to HP It is only the fighters that get an extra HP bonus for a CON of 17 and above. In your case, your cleric 'rolled' a 1 on the 8-sided dice. This number together with the CON bonus gave a result of 1+2 = 3 HPs Insane |
Or I could say:

so basically, that level up was unlucky, maybe next time youl get more hp!

Tryion, the short answer to your problem is this: When your Ranger half Levels Up, the computer rolls a 1D10 (standard Warrior hit dice), adds 4 (from your 18 CON) to that, then divides the result by two, since your character is only half a Ranger. Then, when your Cleric half Levels Up, the game rolls a 1D8 and adds 2, and then cuts that in half. [EDIT:] What, you mean Clerics don't roll a 1D16 for hitpoints? Oops. Brain fart. Thanks, Insane. 1d8 not 1d16 Six - guess it must be a typo.
Sorry Tyrion - misread your post: Didn't see that you were a RANGER/cleric and not just a cleric. Insane |
yeah i must have been unlucky for quite a few levels, but thats just part of the game...got lots more when i leveled yesterday
