I have tried everything but just get blatted every time I try to fight Prat and his buddies. How do I defeat or get past them?
I know I can cheat but don't want to do that.

well since u didnt respond to my earlier post i can only say just try it a few times until you win. Use anything that could come in handy, wands, spells, potions etc. Although i dont think it is the hardest fight so dont waste all your wands on it.

Best thing to do, Gavin, is to make your wizard/mage/cleric cast some protection spells, before you head off into battle. That particular fight can be nasty, but you could even be cheesy and send some Fireballs (use a wand! that's what they're there for!) or Cloudkills into him. Stinking Cloud is your friend as well [img]graemlins/hehe.gif[/img]

if i remember correctly prat is in the catacombs right before the exit with a couple archers and mages. this is how i do it. only move far enough up to see prat and maybe one other guy, (cant remember where they are all standing) initiate the dialouge, when they go hostile send an area of effect spell(ie. fireball, stinking cloud, cloudkill,-something hat will do some kind of damage to disrupt the mages spells), then kill the ones that are visible with missle weopons then move in on the others. also if you find it tough still try buffing up your party with bless, chant, etc. i hope this helps.

also if u have to mages who can use wand of fire and u have to wands of fire (quite likely you will this far on) then get them both to blast the guys. This should kill the mages and then theres just the fighters which will be injured and shouldnt be to hard.
