spoil me please.........ive beaten the game with a wizard.....quite easily too...so its time for some brute force...im trying a fighter and want to make some special items.....ive found one diamond for the astral long sword but i cant remember where the iron wood is for the uthgart 2 bld sword and i need another diamond for the chromatic breastplate.....is there 2 diamonds?
where is the ironwood...(i think thats what it is called)

well I know that you can get ironwood off Nyatar the druid in the core if you complete his quest and use a little persuasion to get some extra reward he will give you some. And I know I got 2 diamonds in Chapter one I am now wracking my brains as to there location....there is one in a chest in the Silver Sails trading company in the docks district ..I'm fairly sure of that or it could of been in the basement of the Seedy Tavern ..one or the other anyway ...and Orphala will give you another diamond if you complete her quest and use a little persuasion (damn I love that skill :D )

Some of these change in the game.

The head gaoler used to drop some items but sometimes he leaves nothing for you.

So it all changes, at least for me.. :S

last time i played i *think* it was Montgomery sureshot (owner of the zoo) who dropped the ironwood, but im not sure anyway.

The gaoler used to drop ironwood. But there was apparently some bug in the script and it was taken out.

Montgomery Sureshot drops ironwood (zoo). The druid can be persuaded (if you have the skill) to give you more.

There is a diamond in the chest in the tavern (docks). Ophila can be persuaded to give you a diamond. Dragon blood in the Silver Sails (upstairs in trapped chest). Special holy water is dropped by the Yuan-ti. There is another one in blacklake(?).

yea I think you get some Holy Water from Meldanan's estate aswell.

I'm pretty sure Montgomery Sureshot drops Adamantite.

can you find +2 sword in act1? I mean if I enchant a +2 sword, it will be much better than +1?? should I do it? save the diamond for +2 one?

By using persuasion I received a diamond from the madam of the brothel for stealing all the art work for her.

At the end of the game I made all the items to see what they did and it does not seem to matter what magical weapon you use as the base, when you add the other ingredient it always seemed to make the same item.
