I went into her cave. She told me I was powerful, and then told me to bow. I did not. She got mad, said something about ripping my flesh off and eating my soul. Anyway, my "brilliant" and "wise" Grimgnaw just rushes into battle. I know that I have to destroy the statue to get rid of that deadly fence, but apparently Grimgnaw is so blind that he cannot see where he is going, resulting in instant death. This happened every time, and I end up trying to go against Morag, her minions, and those protection priests all by myself. I cannot even rest in this cave! I have one potion of Heal left, and use it right at the end when I have about 30 hp. Then I drink it, fight for another 5 seconds, and end up dead anyway. Whoopdy doo. The recall stone doesn't work in this cave either. I cannot wear the necklace the fake Aribeth gave me because I am not level 20, I am level 17. What can I do? I cannot back out of the cave, I was teleported there magically so there is no door. Huh?

unless you want to repeat.. what char are you? i was in a similar situation but i was a socerer with no more spells very weak, 1 summoned creature left, no more henchman.. but LOTS of scrolls [img]smile.gif[/img] lucky for me i didnt get rid of any.

Just right click your henchman and tell him to stand ground. When you have destroyed the statue right click him again and give him an attack command.

Aye I had the same prob 2 and I was a Sorceror. I had some spells that went up to level 7. I was only 20 XP away from leveling up only 20! I had Grimgnaw in my party too. You see I summoned a Skeletal Chieftan and my Familar (Hell Houund) I gave Grimgnaw barkskin and cats grace. and I was level 17 TOO! Since I was a powerful Sorceror i luckily bought a Time Stop Scroll! If you have one I suggest use timestop and destroy the gargoyle. After the Duriaiton is over SHA ZAM its gone. I suggest killing Morag's Right and left Hands. Make Gringnaw follow you and make him destroy PROTECTER OF THE MACE AND THE LESSER um Beings or creatures I forgot. When you do that CHARGE AT MORAG and she will be dead in seconds and her head will XPLODE 2 MILLION OF PIECES!!!!!!! Do that tactic IF you are a sorceror. For other classes I dunno. I suggest you reload get many supplies spend all your money then go in the Source and FIGHT MORAG 2 THE DEATH AND SEE HER HEAD XPLODE I promise you this [img]graemlins/shooter18.gif[/img] Morag blue and You the red when you destroy protecten from mace and protectin from lesser. (You can destroy them by attacking mace on prottecter of mace. Please excuse my spelling mistakes.

one very 'cheesy' tactic:

lure the two 'hands' out into the corridor and kill them

Then get Morag to follow you - run past her into the cave and close the door

Now you have all the time in world to destroy the gargoyle and the protectors.

And in the future - remember to have some old saves ;)

I always went for the 'Protector from the Sword', because I use a katana. What does the Protector fron the Lesser protect from?

lesser spells, perhaps?

Thanks Ar-Cunin, I did what you said. That Morag was probably so intent on making the door bash-proof and magic resistant to keep out intruders that when I closed the door on her she could not possibly get in. At least I like to think so. [img]tongue.gif[/img] It's a lot better story than 'I closed the door and killed the priests and killed morag. Morag could not possibly open a door, oh no, even though she is the leader of the Creator Race.' :D
