Guys!!! can you hel me plz.?

I'm new to the game and to be honest i cheated my level and some of my stats, for i'm really not after the challange i'm more curious with the story and the plot so i actually cheat my character.. and as what i heard if you cheat your character you won't get passed the *CURE* thing after you have given the 4 *you know what* to Aribeth... or even go to another chapter... or even join a multiplayer game(LAN perhaps) i just like to clear things out! is it really true?!! are there solutions to that problem??!!!... is there a item maker or some sort in NWN that you can download??!! any links would be fine... or even spoilers...

THANKS!!!

EDIT: More Question in mind to ask to you people!!!...

I don't know all the answers to your questions, but if you MODIFY your character without it happening in game play, your character may be flagged as an illegal character. The game (if setup in enforce legal characters) will not allow you to join. You can find a few games online that do not enforce legal, so you could play there. As for not advancing chapters, I have heard that, but can not confirm that. I haven't had a modified character to try it out with. Still, if you know where the chapter ends, you should be able to save character and then work from that point. *Meaning you may not see the transistion, but you can leave a game about to advance and then join another game in chapter 2*. Other than that, not sure. Some people claim to have procedures setup to enable an illegal character to legal status. You could try that, but I'm not sure where to go for that. As for the item maker. I'm not sure I follow what you are asking about. You can use the Toolset that comes with NWN to create items/adventures and then play your character there to get it. Save the character. Then open a saved game (or join multi-play) and select use char rather than use save game character. You will have the item then. Just remember that if you have a henchman in your savegame (either multi-play or single-player) and you use this method, he will not recognize you and will attack you on site. Other than that, you can advance chapters/levels, etc. If you modified stat abilities, not sure what to say there. If you script things right in the toolset, you can POSSIBLY legally change your stats. I haven't tried this, but you could trigger an event with a modify of stats (permanent) and that would let the game do it without modifying as you were playing the campaign. Other than that, hopefully someone else can assist.

EDIT: I haven't tried this, but contest of champions (module from NWN) states that once someone goes in and sets a level, it will "level up" a character (or possibly down) to match who they are competing against. It's possible you can have someone go there that has what level you want and then you go in after them. The module is available for download, so you could have a friend run it password protected so nothing bad goes down. Then you could level up and get stats. I haven't tried this, but it should be a possibility. You would want to start a level 1 character though (I would think) to make sure you can customize them how you want. When you get the level up in the contest of champions, save the character and you should be legal. Again, can't verify that as I haven't played it yet, but that was how it read. If this is true though, you could open that module up in the toolset and determine how it was that they scripted the level change.

You have to modify the nwnplayer.ini file for the game to allow cheated characters to advance to the next chapters. This modification allows cheated characters to be flagged as a legal character...

Chewbacca replied in another thread something I think could work for you too. There is a module available for download that can do leveling and can provide items (don't know about Quest items though). Here is the link he had in the other thread.

http://nwvault.ign.com/Files/modules...49559682.shtml

If what you did doesn't work, then you can create a character as level 1 with whatever stats you want (unless you are totally maxed out in all skills anyways.) and can level up to give you what you want.

Yes this should work.... though it still wont let you into legal only multiplayers AFAIK.... but if you want to remove the challenge *Legally* just make a Snadbox with the toolset (which involves making about 30 weak goblins and hoisting their challenge ratings up to 120 ;) )

Yeah that download is basically a Sandbox... very easy to make... I made a pretty complex one myself, but it only takes a few minutes to chuck a few CR120+ goblins into the prelude :D

It seems to make legal characters. I took in the 1st level Ranger that I had made awhile back (the female Ranger with better allocated stats). I walked up to the woman and she offered to help me advance to a higher level. I had a selection from 1st level all the way to 20th. I wasn't sure how that would work in a module. What it did was set my experience up to max and it gave me over 1,000,000 gp so I could buy items. Then I talked to the guy and he offered me items (mostly appropriate for 20th level) The Daystar was there, but I didn't have proficiencies/class to use it. Weird. So then I allocated the levels where I was a 10th level Ranger, 6th level Sorceror, 4th level Thief. I mainly used the Recommended button when leveling to help speed things along (I hadn't seen a 20th level Character up to this point and just wanted to get on with it. - LOL) So, I walk out the door, thinking maybe they actually have a regular mod here?, but then find myself in the end chapter of the generic Neverwinter Nights game. So I walk around (basically ripping up everything I wanted as nothing appears to stop a +6 regenerating/41 AC/188 HP freak of nature, when I find a golem that I can't hurt. (With a +5 Longsword no less) Well, eventually I take him out too, but then I find someone REALLY tough. Can you guess what it was? Was it a Balor? A greater fire elemental? Some demon pit fiend? NO, I beat up on all of them. *Says in the softest voice he can* it was a cleric. Yep, that's right. *SAYS WITH A COMMAND OF POWER* A CLERIC!!!!!!!!!!!!! Jeez, I got god-smacked with some kind of lightning, hit with Harm spells (I had 1 hp left after this so ran like a chicken with it's head cut off trying not to get hit by the clerics battlehammer) JEEZ!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And then I run around long enough that my regeneration kicks in and I get MOST of my hp's back thinking I'll be ok. When the cleric finds me, God-smacks me again and hits me with harm and I'm back at 1 hp. JEEZ!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Well, I said to hell with this and I ducked into a building to find a Balor. I'm like, "What the hell kind of luck do I have? DA*N!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!" Well, I run around like a chicken til I get quarter life back, beat up the balor, take out his succubus and then take out the wizard controlling him. *all the while avoiding the traps and blade barrier* So it looks clear. There is no priest. I rest. Then I figure it's ok to finish on the cleric. So I go out there to do some God-Smacking of my own. I pull out my trusty scroll of fireball and let her have it. *She takes like 14hp and starts putting that sneer on her face and then just kinda laughs.* I'm like, man that is one wimpy scroll. So I go over to whoop up on her and get her FINALLY down to 1 hp, and she casts HEAL on herself. *NO DAMAGE* MAN. So I keep whooping up on her until she almost dies and then casts HEAL again and whoop up on her some more. Finally she falls. And then do you know what I get for all that trouble? NOTHING. She has NOTHING on her. I'm like JEEZ!!!!!! DID I GET RIPPED OR WHAT. LOL That was when I met ARIBETH, the betrayer. DA*N!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! !!

EDIT: Oh yeah, I never said how I knew that it set me legal. Well, I took that character online and played her in a module that I picked at Random (allowed local characters, but did have enforce legal.) She God-Smacked in that module (it was for like 5-12th level characters. LOL) I never did try the fireball though (Raised her up enough levels she was a magic missile toting, fireball bombing, Thieving scoundrel of a Ranger. LOL She was AWESOME (I did pick weapon finesse and DODGE and IMPROVED CRITICAL - I wasn't that lazy - LOL)
