If you save a character and restart the game with him/her, or start a multiplayer game with that char, do you keep your items, like in BG1? Thanx.

It depends on how the game is setup where you are playing. Most servers I have connected to will not remove your items. On some modules though, you will lose what you have and "start" over. Like in BG2. But like I said, on most servers, you can take your stuff into and out of a game.
