What do Fire Beetle bellies do? Should I keep them? Also, what is the best item the dude can make at the forgery in the City Core?

Here's a thread from a few weeks ago re fire beetle bellies:
http://www.ironworksforum.com/ubb/cg...c;f=7;t=000688 Hope it helps. |
But what is the best item he can make though? In that 'Shining Knight Arms and Armor' place?

Well that all depends on opinion... personally I like the Sword Saint Katana +1 best... but thats cause I like Katana's... get his book from him and decide what you like best

Yeah, I got the book, but the book doesn't tell you what special abilities that item will have if you have the dude make it. For example, there are 6 elements, Gargoyle Skull, Dragon Blood, Diamond, Fairie Dust, Ironwood, and Adamantite. You can only make 5 items in the forge if you collect all the elements. I wouldn't want to waste my Ironwood, for example, on that ironwood club that dazes the target because I cannot use it, my level is not high enough. I am a level 6 Berserker that is specialized in Martial, Exotic, and Simple weapons, so I could use any, it's just that my level is not high enough. What would be the best item I could make in the forge based on my level?
Oh, and another question- Can you save the elements and use them to make better items in other labs or forges? |
Get the book, read the item names, then open the toolset and check the different weapons out. The "best weapon" greatly depends on what your character prefers to wield though, ie has focus or specialization in.
|
There are more than one of some of the elements. I know of 2 diamons, 3 adamantites. I forget how many dragon's bloods and holy waters. I'm pretty sure there's only one gargoyle skull.
Make the items you're using. If you're a fighter, try one of the armors and a weapon or two. Make the weapon you're specialized in. All the items are roughly the same, either adding 1-4 points of elemental damage, or giving a percentage chance of some effect, for example, slow or daze. They're nice, but not great items, and you won't use them much past the end of chapter 1. |
Minor spoiler
Use as many of the elements as you can - you won't meet another smith until chp. 3 - and you'll gat plenty of new element by then. Besides - nearly all the new items are worth more that the original + 500 gp they cost to make => a few more gp to you. |
Oh darn, I'm in Chap. 2 already. Oh well, I guess I'll just have to wait for chapter 3. Or can I go back into neverwinter?
