In Chapter 2: Port Llast at the beginning.....I talked to Aribeth (Kendrack's Barracks)....everytime since I've gone back......Can't talk to her, she won't light up - I won't light up when I go close to her...so since I can't talk to her, I can't go to Luskan.....anyone have any ideas - other than saying 'bad words'.......bah humbug... TIA...

i finish neverwinter nights .. and i am playing it all over again..
i am near the end of chapter 2 and i dun have such problems ..
i guest u should just reload it or restart the chapter

another thing that I noticed when I was screwing around. If you are running debug mode (the thing that makes single player cheats work) then sometimes it doesn't highlight NPCs. Hope this helps someone.
