Chapter 2 - How do I summon Belial?

I'm in the castle in Charwood.
I have the protection wand and the burning wand.
I tried using both in the summoning room but nothing happens. I think I need a step by step explaination

Glorfindel covered it above, but I'll lay it out step by step for you.

1. Put a fire beetle belly in the brazier (works like any container).
2. Use the Protection Wand, select Protection from evil, and target yourself.
3. Use the Burning Hands wand and target the brazier.

If you think you're really tough and want to fight Belial, skip step 2. I would recommend saving first.
