Recently went through the Firewine dungeon (playing Baldur's Gate Trilogy - SoA MOD). Now my whole party was in the big (well the biggest) room on the right and Imoen was scouting ahead. When Imoen - hidden in shadows - passed a kobold almost on the far left side of the dungeon he started running. First I thought he was just patroling but the little guy made his way through the whole maze and finally attacked Xan.
What could that be? Some kind of GPS or was he a psychic kobold?

lol. Strange. I dont think that happened to me when i went in the Firewine bridge with the trilogy anyway.

i had a similar incident when i was at the firewine bridge dungon. i was traveling through the many mazes when a kobold hops his way from the rear of my party right past my 2 mages, a cleric, and a thief just to attack the tanks in the front of the party. so i guess you could say i ran into the dumbest kobold ever.LOL

Hmm never happend to me. Those phase spiders are always doing it though :-(

The kobolds live in that dungeon - a rabbit or a rat would also be quite familiar to the passages in their own lairs. The kobold heard the battle noise and thought that there might be an easy kill. The stupid kobold died by the hands (and sword) of Xan I guess.

There were no battle noises. Xan and the rest of the party were waiting idle while Imoen was scouting. Must have been a Ko-incidence then.

This sort of thing has happened to my party several times... Ghouls and gibberlings have done it, but never kobolds...

well if a gibberling can do that then it would be expected of kobolds. I mean with such high iq and all u would be surprised if they wouldnt ;)

did you actually follow this kobold throughout the maze, coz it could have just been a DIFFERENT KOBOLD
