ok, im going through Charwood, and i came accross a cave. going into it, i find it infested with mephits. inside, is a cell with a dead adventurer who was a "hero", but died because he broke his ankle. anywho, i go all the way through, and what do i find, a well. i try to swim into it to a hidden passage, but i run out of breath. HOW do i get through there?! i have casted haste, but that doesnt work either (it should have though). can anyone help me out here?! thanks in advance.

use potion of endurance (CON bonus)

IIRC you need CON 16 to dive through.
