Ok, i`ve got Special Holy Water, Adamantine, Dragon`s Blood, just sold a gargoyle skull and possibly some other stuff. Should i sell them/throw them away? Are they needed for something later in the game?

All those items, as well as fairy dust, are used to make magical weapons and armor at the magical forges, available in chapters 1 and 3. If you use common weapons and armor, you want to hold onto a few of each item. If you're a mage, you don't need them. Note that adamantite, special holy water and diamonds are fairly rare, so don't sell them. The other items, gargoyle skulls, fairy dust and dragon blood, are somewhat more common.

There's another set of items, like skeleton knuckles, fire beetle bellies, fenberries, quartz crystals, etc, that are used to make mage items in magical chests. You probably won't encounter many of these items until chapter 2.
