I'm trying to get final stone and have to fight Aribeth??When I check her dtats it says shes unbeatable,it seems so so far am I missing something here?The old one in the dungeon says to get the final stone .I'm lost as to where else to go any help??

Have you gotten past Aribeth and gone INTO the final stone yet (by adding the last word of power)?
Or have you not encountered Aribeth yet? Or have you met her and not fought her yet?

There are many 'impossible' things in the game. Aribeth is not one of them if that is what you mean.

figth her first, then talk to her. then choose her whether to kill her or reform her. after that proceed to the next room and fight maugrim. you'll get your last stone there.

Just because a monster has the purple, impossible rating, this doesn't mean you can't kill them. It just means they are ranked by the game to be significantly tougher than you. I was able to defeat Aribeth with my level 18 monk with very little difficulty. I forget if she was rated impossible or very difficult. It helps if you have a Greater Swordsman's Belt, which gives great damage resistance to slashing attacks. (In fact, that belt helps you pretty much throughout the game...)

My persuade and charisma was pretty high when i beat her, but I failed my persuade roll and she attacked me again. What happens when you persuade her to reform? Does the ending change at all?

nope, same final ending in all.

What's up with the ending anyway? It doesn't say what happened to her. Did they just not feel like making two movies, in case you kill her instead? It would be a nice *resolution* to know if your "love" is executed.

the ending is like that to enable bioware to create expansion or even NWN 2. all games nowadays have bad endings if you didn't notice. ;)
