I was able to play NWN for about 2 hours after two days of trying to get it to work. Al was well until I clicked on the DM client button. After I clicked it you could see you mouse pointer and a hour class next to it. Then it would go away and your desktop would just be there. I bought a new sound card. Updated the drivers, called tech surppot and we still don't know whats wrong with the dumb thing. The same thing happens when I click the icon then play. A black box will pop up with the weird eye symbol in the middle then it goes away leaving you at your desktop. Anyone know what could be wrong?

Videocard- Geforce2
Soundcard- Sound blaster audigy
Ram- 1000
Prossor- Amp or amd 1.9 couldn't remember :D
Windows- XP

Any help would be great.

Windows seems to be your problem. Have you sancrinized your game's pixel level to the one you are using on desk-top? That wsa causing me to crash, because I was running the game at 600x900, when my normal desktop was in 1224x1040, or something like that. If that does not help, then update your drivers on your mouse and your video card. Go to the websites and download them. Then get back with me on it.

I'll try that out tomorrow Larry. Thanks for the idea.

Something prevents me from posting this link correctly. Nevertheless, see what I have given you. It is a list of threads on Bioware's website, detailing people with the same issue you have, supposedly.

Thanks Larry. I'll go look it up.

If none of that works, I have a guy that is telling me that you will need to back up your files and do a complete reinstall of Windows XP.

If that does not make better the situation, he suggests you get Windows ME.
