When you read the big book it mentions the fire beetle belly and some low level spell. You can grab a belly in the adjacent room, next to the entrance. The spell it mentions comes from a wand that casts burning hands, found in that level(not sure which room), so pick that up too.
Now, put the belly into the ritual brazier in the summoning room, then use the wand on the brazier, and Belial will appear. If you want to kill him, then dont use the wand of protection, found on that level also. If you want info out of him, make sure u have points in pesuade, and use the wand to cast protection from evil on you :D </font>

deathcow is the only sole person here that can somehow kill belial.
but if you want to do the judgement quest properly you have to talk to belial.

you can judge the 2 brothers and convict the proper brother and things will be normal. but a true goodie char will want it done right. to do so you must talk to belial. instead of asking him for a powerful item you ask him about the brothers. he will trhen give you his sworn oath that he tricked the brothers and both bros will be let off.or you can be semi veil and just ask for an item. youll just sell it afterwards anyways.

If I recall correctly, I didn't receive any XPs for either of the Belial judgements. I received 375 for the "blame the cleric" and 500 for "blame the mage" judgements. The Guardian seemed to think either decision (after the judgement blaming Belial) was wrong. Why the heck didn't they put in a "Belial is guilty, destroy the phlactery" option?
