I heard somewhere in this forum (I can't find it now) that you can get a full party straight away in BG1.It went something like: do the combat training in Candlekeep and just before you get teleported back, talk to one of the people that temporarily joined you. You get all of them back into your party. I did this, but they just say "Maybe I'll see you on your quest some other time" or something like that.
So basically, I've forgotten exactly what you need to do. If someone could fill me in on what I'm doing wrong, that would be great. |
Huh? I do not understand your request. You want us to tell you how do you get a full party in BG1 or what?
|
Well, it's not working so I must be doing something wrong or have forgotten something. I would like to know the whole cheat in order to get the five people that TEMPORARILY join your party, PERMANENTLY. Thanks.

I do not know the cheat but i think you would get the answer quicker if you post this in Baldurs Gate & Tales of the Sword Coast forum.

I have some very faint memories of this. I suspect it was fixed in a patch, so if you want to do it, try running the out-of-the-box version without installing TotSC.
Alternately, there is a CLUA cheat that will let you recruit anyone (though if you do someone plot-critical the game might break) so you could recruit them that way. Or you could use create a multiplayer game to duplicate those characters at game start, and then copy the save into the single player folder. |
I posted the link to the answer in the BG1 forum.

If it's a bug it hasn't been fixed.
Trust me, I showed my gf's son and he's running them. Suggestion. Find a post from SixOfSpades, go to his site (there's a link at the bottom of every one of his posts) and see the section on CHEATING. lol... Have fun, but just my own opinion.... All of those characters suck. |
I believe it was Midget Gems (one of the trio) who made a party of just the Candlekeep NPC's. Marched those folks up & down the Sword Coast, and all through Durlag's Tower. How he got through all that without strangling Osprey is beyond me, but he did it. (He did give himself a distinct advantage, though, by playing with the sound turned off. They're all a lot less annoying when you can't hear how monotonous they are.)
Basically, the only reasons to get them into your party are:</font>

I've also tried the 'candlekeep' party - It's well balanced and can be played without any trouble
P.S. Do you still need info on how you get the illusionary NPC's into your party? |
