I am playing a Paladine character and therefore wish to remain 'squeeky clean'. However I get the distinct impression that I need to accept the quest from the gal who want's help with the food hording wizard, Meldanen (I think that is his name) in order to get to one of the creatures. Will it screw up my alignment or anything to agree to kill the guy for her, I'm fairly certain I wouldn't be able to steal the key. Thanks in advance for any help or advice.

Just go with the flow and go in there to reason with him and to get the key. I don't want to spoil anything but theres nothing for you to worry about on this quest as far as ruining your Paladins reputation or RPing out of character.

talk to meldanen after you defeat him partially. agree not to kill him and ask for his tooth to show to the chick. hell agree. bam 500xp . then talk to the chick tell her you killed him give her the tooth and bam another 500 xp.

Killing him isn't necessarily the evil thing to do. You could have some respect for your fellow paranoid evildoers. You could even work for Meldanen instead, and kill Formosa for him. He pays better, too.

I didn't like that part of the Formosa quest. She is obviously a pampered communist revolutionary trying to steal the property of Meldanen for the 'public good'

I'd kill them both just to be sure :D

However, I didn't accept her quest either; I told her to get lost. Ironically, Meldanen turns out to be a nefarious character anyway, but isn't deserving of death.

Do it either way, it won't affect anything, unless you are a paladin...

She is a bitch and thinks like a socialist... I wish the game allowed us to follow her and she what she is up to once she gets the key...

Personally, I did not kill either, but it would be nice if we could follow her as she liberates the food for the populace... What a shock she would get if he wasn't dead and was actually waiting for here at the warehouse...
