I think you are talking about for your characters, right?
Only the races in the Players Handbook are available for characters, which means you can't play drow or dragons but gnomes are in.
If your talking about whether they will be in the game...I know dragons are definitely in, don't know about drow though.

You can enter a subrace for your character upon creation such as "drow" or something but you won't get any special abilities for that, you'd stay a normal elf. You could also put Half-Dragon or something like that I suppose but you also wouldn't gain any bonuses for that. I'm not sure exactly how it works, but this is what I read on the official site. You have to stick to the basic classes in the Player's Handbook for you character. As for NPC's and monsters, I think you can put in whatever you really want with the toolset.

Actually it's been confirmed that all the races in the PHB are playable as PC's, including half-orcs. Every monster that is placeable in the toolset is playable by the DM as an NPC.
