Is it worth making maps with the beta tool set? If the maps are not going to be supported then I am not going to waste my time.

Also: -Do you guys have any tips on map making with the tool set?
-Are there any bugs that I should be aware of?
-Can I creat my own player?

Thanks

Whether or not the maps are suppoerted directly, they should be loadable with the full-verion toolset. So your work now will make it easier later.

You can dl the toolset at Fileplanet and I'm pretty sure also from Black Isle's NWN site... be warned, it's a big file. No idea whether or not you should get it, though.

The Bioware guys said that they might make a conversion tool to transfer the beta maps to the full version, but without this tool any maps made with the beta toolset will not be playable when the game comes out. This was stated on the Bioware site, they said that they already changed the format of the toolset saved maps.
I am still playing with the toolset to get a little practice so when the real game is released I can jump right in with module creation.
If you go to the Bioware site and then to the NWN forum page and then to the beta toolset forum they have a running list of bugs found.
