i read the official news at neverwinter vault and it states that the toolset "will arrive at the retailers may 17th"

i am a bit behind the times as far as news is concerned (my net access has been down for a fortnight) but i thought i was being boxed with the game, are they selling it as an addon now ala dungeon seige?

No, the official complete toolset will be packaged with the game. What is being released today is a Beta version of the toolset, and it is free. It will contain only a small amount of the total content (2 tilesets and 25 creatures) but you should be able to create an entire dungeon with these. They said that you may not be able to use any content created with the beta in the final game, but I think this is just a worst case scenario, they want modules waiting when the game is released, good PR.

The Beta toolset is free and will be available as a 300MB download on various sites (yet to be determined), from retail EB stores, or shipped as a bonus if you preordered the game from EB. Supposedly in the stores you might have to preorder, or maybe pay a small amount ($10) which is applied to the game total at release time.

I can't wait to play with the beta, should be interesting.

Eb charged me a $5 deposit on the game when i preordered. I ws told they havea beata tool set to give me as soon as they receive them It was not in today. hopfully tomorrow. Also for the game they charged $49.95 as a max price but said it could be lower at the time of release.

I tried downloading the darn thing, but it is 250 Mb, and would have taken 31 hours! Darn dialup. I tried anyway, but it cut out on me. and I've decided that I don't want all of that on my hard drive, anyway.

I absolutely hate (I know it is a strong word, but it is very accurate) fileplanet and Gamespot and all their logins and memberships and crap!

Why can´t Bioware host the darned toolset on their own server???

Anyone know if you can download it from somewhere other than fileplanet??
