Ok I just started playing Darkstone a few days ago. I saw that patch 1.06 was coming out around the same time as the editor was coming out. Does anyone know what happened? Also what is the deal with ageing in the game. Does it matter?

Patch 1.06 is a myth as far as I know - 1.05b is the latest.

Ageing is very important - after a certain age, your stats start dropping and if you don't use youth potions (which are quite hard to find early on) you will eventually become completely feeble and permanently die!

To avoid this, do not use the rest function, but instead return to town and use the Innkeepers services.

At what point do your stats start dropping? Also where is a good spot to get potions? I just made it to the third land and I am around 45.

I believe your stats start dropping at age 50. I could be wrong it may be earlier. Elmeric will randomly start selling potions of youth at higher levels. You can also find some in dungeons. Check back with elmeric and Gunther at each new dungeon level as they have new things to sell. Also do not walk but run everywhere it'll age you slower as it will take less time to get places.
