I played Darkstone happily through one game, started another and the game would no longer save (except for quicksave). I have downloaded patch 1.03US as I was informed by a techie that would resolve the problem. I started a new game, and saved once successfully. However, the second time I tried to save the game, it crashed to the desktop. Now I can't even load a game - when I click on Load, the game just crashes to the desktop. Very frustrated. Can't play ANY of my new games - Outcast, eg. Spending much more time on the Internet looking for help than actually playing.

What are you system specs. Just so happens I'm an ex frequenter of hothardware and am used to giving such advice.

Thanks for asking. I got a response from a techie.All I had to do was move my old saves out of the Darkstone file. Now it works fine.
