Personally, I've reset most of the keyboard commands so that I can do most of this stuff from the number pad.
Still having trouble with this interface but I'm getting better. I ignore the whole strafe commands and made the left and right arrows on the number pad my turn left/right. Do this WITH the mouse and you turn faster. Still a pain. Off to die some more! |
LOL! Thanks, Wyv I'll be looking at this some more this evening.
Based on the demo, I'm definitely going to pick it up. |
There was at least another page of information on camera angles/view which I didn't bother to write down. Last thing I want to be doing at this point is messing around with strange camera angles.
I get frustrated enough just trying to keep my point of view where I like it anyways! lol!! |
i recomend starting the demo out just spelling all the monsters to death. even a goblin will kill you trying to sword it.
I still dont have sword combat down and ive practiced a lot and advanced my character. what i recomend is fighting backing up. so hitting s left click. back into the wall is fine. |
I've been working on the sword/shield combo. Just like W&W, critters have an attack pattern. Hold your shield up to defend, wait for their pause, and then strike.
The only downside is you can go through a lot of shields that way :D You'll know that has happened when you hold up your shield, your opponent swings, and your character grunts from being hit (and splashes blood...) ;) |
