Hi all,

I am still having trouble with my game freezing. I am running W2K and in the tech tips thread, 6.7 saya "regsvr32 :\winnt\apppatch\slayerui.dll" when I run this it tells me regsvr32 has no program assosiated. In the tips it says to search W2K......but what for.
I am hoping that I can set my machine to play in 95 layer mode.

Regards,

Greyem of Kamberra.

What happens when you go to Start PRograms, Run, and type regsvr32? On my win2k machine, I get a message box telling me about the rest of the parameters.

I'm no expert in it, but it appears that you need to type "regsvr32 c:\winnt\apppatch\slayerui.dll" instead... specifying the C: drive. Try it with that instead...

Meanwhile, I will check to see if there's a typo in the Tech Tips thread.

*edit* If need be, you can also fully qualify regsvr32. On my win2k machine, it's at c:\winnt\system32\regsvr32.exe...

It worked, it worked. Thank Bungleau. I will see if that helps.

Much appreciated,

Greyem.

Woohoo! Another one bites the dust!

So what fixed it? Adding the C: in there, or fully qualifying regsvr32?

*edit* Wyv, Willow made that post. Once the problem is clarified, can you update that post? Let me know if you need help tracking it down...

I am sure it was this line that I ran. Thanks again to all involved with this Grouse web site.

Yes - please point me to the spot that needs a minor change! ;) (and what exactly is the change I need to make?)

Wyv,

Go here and search for the word "slayer". At the first place it finds it, change the start of the long path name that includes "slayer" to be "C:..." instead of ":...".

That should do it...
